Call forwarding in extension setting doesn't work for ring group and queue

It is a general configuration that you might route inbound call to ring group or queue, add proper agents to the group to answer calls, while some agent might enable call forward in case he is not on seat, unfortunately the call forward won't take effect in this situation when he is in queue or ring group, due to it will conflict with the ringing strategy in ring group or queue.

This enablement of call forward includes settings in extension editting page, feature code, linkus client or presence status.

  • Solution

Enable call forward on IP phone, this type of call forword on the phone will work if extension is put in ring group or queue.

To enable/disable call forward at any time when you leave office or not on seat, you can implement DSS key feature on the phone so you can control call forward in a more flexible manner.
