Register Type Trunk
- Check PBX side
Please verify the following configuration:
- Hostname and port
- Username and password
- Register name
- Domain
- Transport
- Realm
- SRV-DNSPTR
- Network
You could use the ‘IP Ping’ tool to check the network status of device.
Ping is a basic Internet program that allows a user to verify that a particular IP address exists and can accept requests. Ping works by sending an Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP). Because the processing of the SIP packet is at the application layer and the ICMP packet is at the network layer. So if the ping works doesn’t mean the sip trunk should be registered with the end device.

Peer Tyep Trunk

SIP Account trunk
The SIP Account trunk is very similar to the extension registration part.
Make sure you provide the correct register information for the registry party.

Configuration

Generally, the local IP segment is different with IP segment of WAN.
The IP address and gateway should be provided with carrier
- Select WAN port as the default interface
- A static route to operator required to be configured at PBX local.

Remote Trunk Registration
The four scenarios above all the SIP trunk registration is in the LAN network.
If your need register sip trunk remotely, the following points need to be noted.
- Proper NAT setting.
- NAT Type: Stun, External IP Address and External host supported here. Generally, we use the External IP address here.
- External IP address: fill the IP address you map on router.
- We must map port 5060 on router.
