How to Use Another Site's Trunk between P-series and S-series PBX

Introduction

you wound know how to connect P-series PBX and S-series PBX as Headquarter and Branch,then you can dial extensions in another site directly.

This article introduces how to use another site's trunk after connection like Headquarter and Branch.

 

S100 use the trunk on P550

1.Create Outbound Route for external call on P550

  • navigate to Call Control > Outbound Route,click Add to add a new Outbound Route

  • Dial Pattern: The number can be dialed out from this outbound route,I use XXXXXX means all 6 digits numbers can be dialed,you need to set own dial pattern.
  • Trunk:Select the trunk you want to use.
  • Extension / Extension Group:Select the extensions or groups can dial out.
  • Save and Apply

2.Create Inbound Route on P550

  • navigate to Call Control > Inbound Route,click Add to add a new Inbound Route

  • DID Pattern: Same as the Dial Pattern in above Outbound route - Dial_Out
  • Trunk: Select the trunk connect with S100
  • Default Destination: Select above Outbound Route - Dial_Out
  • Save and Apply

3.Create Outbound Route on S100

  • navigate toSettings > PBX > Call Control > Outbound Route,clickAddto add a new Outbound Route.

  • Dial Pattern: Same as the Dial Pattern in above Outbound route - Dial_Out
  • Member Trunks: Select the trunk connnect to P550
  • Member Extensions: Select Extensions can use the trunk in P550.
  • Save and Apply

Then when you dial XXXXXX from S100,will use the trunk in P550 to dial out.

 

 

P550 use the trunk on S100

1.Create Outbound Route for external call on S100

  • navigate to Settings > PBX > Call Control > Outbound Route,click Add to add a new Outbound Route.

  • Dial Pattern: The number can be dialed out from this outbound route,I use XXXXXXXX means all 8 digits numbers can be dialed,you need to set own dial pattern.
  • Member Trunks: Select the trunk connnect to P550
  • Member Extensions: Select the Extensions can dial external number.
  • Save and Apply

Note: Outbound route use different dial pattern to call out,so the fewer the digits, the higher in the route list,like this:

2.Create Inbound Route on S100

  • navigate to Settings > PBX > Call Control > Inbound Route,click Add to add a new Inbound Route.

  • DID Pattern: Same as the Dial Pattern in above Outbound route - External
  • Trunk: Select the trunk connect with P550
  • Default Destination: Select Outbound Route - External
  • Save and Apply

 

3.Create Outbound Route on P550

  • navigate to Call Control > Outbound Route,click Add to add a new Outbound Route

  • Dial Pattern: Same as the Dial Pattern in above Outbound route - External
  • Trunk:Select the trunk connect to S100
  • Extension / Extension Group: Select Extensions can use the trunk in S100.
  • Save and Apply

Note: Also according to the dial pattern for router order

Then when you dial XXXXXXXX from P550,will use the trunk in S100 to dial out.
