Introduction
This article introduces of how to connect P-series PBX and S-series PBX as Headquarter and Branch.We use P550 and S100 as example.
Preparation
- Two PBXs are able to access each other
- The extension number range are different in both PBXs,for example: extension number range is 4XXX in P550 and 1XX in S100.
Connect P550 and S100 via SIP trunk
1.Create Account trunk in P550
- Log in P550 web interface, navigate to Extension and Trunk > Trunks, click Add to add a new trunk.
- Configure the VoIP trunk as the following figure show.
- Trunk Status:Enabled
- Trunk Type:Account Trunk
- Provider Name:give a name for the trunk, “S100”.
- Save and Apply.
2.Create Register trunk in S100
- Log in S100 web interface, navigate to Settings > PBX > Trunks, click Add to add a new trunk.
- Configure the VoIP trunk as the following figure show.
- Trunk Status:Enabled
- Trunk Type:Register Trunk
- Provider Name:give a name for the trunk, “P550”.
- Hostname/IP:
If they are both in local network,enter local IP of P550;
If they are both in Internet,enter P550’s public IP and forwarded SIP port;
If you use P-series cloud PBX,enter the domain of it;
I use RAS server in P550 so I enter the FQDN of P550.
- Domain:same as Hostname/IP.
- Save and Apply.
- Check the trunk status:
In P550:
In S100
- If connected,you can continue the next step
Configuration on P550
1.Edit Account Trunk-S100
- Log in P550 web interface, navigate to SIP Headers > Outbound Parameters > From User Part
- select Originator caller ID
2.Create outbound route
- navigate to Call Control > Outbound Route,click Add to add a new Outbound Route
- Dial Pattern: The extension number range is 100-102 in S100,so Pattern is XXX
- Trunk:Select the trunk connect to S100
- Extension / Extension Group:Select the extensions or groups can dial to S100 directly.
- Save and Apply.
- Make sure this Outbound Route is in the top of Route list,this will not affect the use of other trunks:
3.Create inbound route
- navigate to Call Control > Inbound Route,click Add to add a new Inbound Route
- DID Pattern: Select Match DID Pattern to Extensions mode,and use {{.Ext}} as the pattern
- Trunk: Select the trunk connect with S100
- Default Destination: Select Match Selected Extensions then select the extensions or groups can be dialed.
- Save and Apply.
Configuration onS100
1.Create Inbound Route in S100
- Log in S100 web interface, navigate to Settings > PBX > Call Control > Inbound Route,click Add to add a new Inbound Route.
- DID Pattern: The extension number range in the S100
- Member Trunks: Select the trunk connnect to P550
- Destination: Select Extension Range and fill in the extension number same as DID Pattern
- Save and Apply.
Noted:The number of combination of DID Pattern should not be greater than 300,such as max DID combination range is 100-399,if you have more extension number,can create more Inbound Route.
- Log in S100 web interface, navigate to Settings > PBX > Call Control > Outbound Route,click Add to add a new Outbound Route..
- Dial Pattern: The extension number range is 4XXX in S100,so Pattern is XXXX
- Member Trunks: Select the trunk connnect to P550
- Member Extensions: Select the Extensions can dial P550 directly.
- Save and Apply.
- Make sure this Outbound Route is in the top of Route list:
Then you can dial the extensions directly from both PBXs.
