Why gets an Authentication window on the IP phone after auto provision and rebooting the IP phone

[Issue Description]

When you use the RPS method auto provision IP phones, after finishing the configuration on the Yeastar PBX, and then save the configuration and reboot the IP phone. When the IP phone is rebooted, it will have an Authentication window.



[Applicable Models]

Yeastar P-series PBX



The reason is that 'Authentication for the First-time Auto Provisioning' is enabled by default for security. You can disable it when adding an IP phone. If it is enabled, you can set the Username and Password as below.

  • Username: Enter the extension number that is assigned to the phone.
  • Password: Enter the extension's Voicemail Access PIN
