Forwarding Settings for Remote Work

Overview

Remote working solution to assist businesses to work from anywhere more efficiently and ensure continuity of operation. Forwarding is an effective method to receive calls when you out of office. Here we introduce 4 common ways to forward the call.

  • Forward Call by Extension
  • Simultaneous Call
  • Forward Call by IP Phone
  • Forward Call by Linkus Mobile

Solution

1. Forward Call by Extension

1) Enable Forwarding via Web Interface

To forward the call for your extension, you can access the web interface. Then follow the steps:

  • Choose the extension you need.
  • Check the Always/Busy/No Answer option of Call Forwarding in the Presence.
  • Select Mobile Number or Custom Number option as required.
  • Input a proper prefix according to the outbound route.

For the outbound route, you can use a single route or generic route to allow the forwarding target number can dial out.

2) Enable Forwarding via Feature Code

Dial *71+ Forwarding Target Number on your phone which has been registered with PBX extension.

The pre-condition is the same as the above method that you need to configure a proper outbound route. The difference is the prefix might need to be considered when you dial the feature code to match the outbound route.

 

2. Simultaneous Call

This feature is bind to the mobile filled for the extension. When someone calls to the extension, the mobile would ring at the same time. Note that the extension should be in registered state.

You can access the web interface. Then follow the steps:

  • Choose the extension you need.
  • Check the Ring Simultaneously option in the Features tab.
  • Input a proper prefix according to the outbound route.

3. Forward Call by IP phone.

You already register an extension on your phone. You can define a forward key on the IP phone in advance. When you need to leave office, press the key to activate forwarding. Press the key to deactivate the forwarding when you are back.

Note the number you fill in the IP phone for forwarding should match the PBX outbound route. So the prefix might be considered. 

 

4. Foward Call by Linkus Mobile app

Actually, you don't need to configure forwarding on the Linkus Mobile app. As long as you have Internet access, you can login Linkus to receive calls.
