Outgoing Call via Peer Trunk Failed - Wrong DOD number

Applicability

  • Firmware version: Any
  • Model: S-Series

 

Problem Description

When the Peer trunk is using by an extension, then the other extensions can't make the outgoing call through the Peer trunk.

 

Analysis

The CLI log shows, extension 1000 make an outgoing call successfully.

Then client uses extension 1002  to make an outgoing call to through the same SIP trunk gets failed and gets reply '480 Temporarily Unavailable' from the SIP provider.

Solution

The reason is the SIP provider doesn't allow to make 2 calls at the same time with the same DOD. 

By setting different DOD for each extension can solve the problem.
