PBX in local network location
1. IP Phone in local
- PBX and IP Phones locate in same local network
- Both PBX and IP Phones use local IP Address in sip contact header
- Both PBX and IP Phones use local IP Address in SDP
- RTP stream transmit directly between PBX and IP Phone
2. IP Phone register remotely
- PBX and IP Phones locate in different local network
- PBX use external IP Address in SIP Header and SDP
- When NAT Mode select to YES, IP Phone may not need to use external IP Address in SIP Header and SDP, because PBX will send RTP to the sender’s IP Address and port
3. Linkus use cellular network
- Port 8111 need to open on the router for Linkus service.
- Same as IP Phone register remotely scenario.
PBX have public IP address on WAN port
1. PBX have public IP address and IP Phone register remotely
- NAT Type can select to disable because PBX will use public IP Address in SIP Header and SDP
2. Linkus use cellular network
- Port 8111 is not blocked by the firewall of PBX
- Same as IP Phone register remotely.
Sip trunk
Sip trunk is a SIP channel between PBX and provider, PBX register to provider from remotely so it is same as register remotely scenario.
