About This Guide
AsterSwitchboard is an operator panel for Asterisk PBX running on MS Windows clients.
Call, answer, transfer, view the status of all connected extensions, intercept a call for another extension, display name and number of incoming calls, make a call directly from the integrated list of contacts or from the log and much more... Note: Yeastar S-Series VoIP PBX is compatible with AsterSwitchboard pro version ONLY!
In this guide below, we tested AsterSwitchboard pro Trial version, and introduce how to configure Yeastar S-Series VoIP PBX with AsterSwitchboard.
Step 1. Enable AMI on Yeastar S-Series VoIP PBX
Step 2. Download AsterSwitchboard and install it
Step 3. Configure Asterisk Server Configuration
3.1 From the AsterSwitchboard menu select File > Settings
3.2 To access the application setting a password is required. The default one is 1234. You may also update the password by clicking 'ChangePassword'.
3.3 Asterisk Server Configuration
In the setting windows, tab Asterisk Server, fill in these fields:
IP Address | the asterisk server ip address which is the PBX server IP (example: 192.168.9.193) |
---|---|
Login name | the AMI username set up on the PBX (example: admin) |
Password | the AMI password set up on the PBX (example: password) |
Context | Yeastar uses DLPN_DialPlanXXX, where XXX is the extension number (example: DLPN_DialPlan1006) |
3.4 Phone Configuration
Click on the Phone tab and fill in these fields:
My name | the name of user of the extension (example: 1006) |
---|---|
My number | the number of the extension (example: 1006) |
Step 4. Connect to Yeastar PBX to start using AsterSwitchboard
4.1 From the AsterSwitchboard menu select Actions > Connect
4.2 If the settings are correct you should be able to view all the internal extensions and you are ready to use AsterSwitchboard.
