Introduction
Dialed Number Identification Service (DNIS) is a feature of Yeastar IPPBX, which could be used to determine which trunk was dialed by the customer. With this feature enabled, the caller ID display on the IP phone will include both the information of the calling party and the information we set up for the called party.
For example, a company may have a different toll-free number for each product it sells. If a call center is handling calls for multiple product lines, the operator that receives the call can know which product line the caller is looking for so that he can answer with an appropriate recorded greeting. A company may also use multiple toll free numbers for multilingual customer support, for which each support language is associated with a dedicated toll free number. With DNIS feature, we will be able to easily know which number the customer dialed from the IP phones.
