Description
Server migration is a common behaviour for Yeastar software pbx, this article shares the general procedure to do it and some precautions.
Steps
1) Take up backup of current system, enable 'License Code and FQDN Settings' in backup stage.
2) Install new server, in wizard steps, select 'Restore an Existing Backup' and select backup from step 1.
Restore Network Basic Settings: Restore network settings from the backup file. If selected, the network settings from the backup file will be applied by default during the network configuration step, and they can be modified later. If not selected, you will need to configure them manually in later steps.
Restore License Code and FQDN Settings: Restore the License Code and FQDN information from the backup file. It only works when the backup file contains the License Code and FQDN information.
If selected, the License Code from the backup will be applied by default during the PBX activation step, and it can be modified. If not selected, you will need to activate system with a new license code later manually.
Precautions
1. Like the way to restore all configs including license code and FQDN settings, new system will work totally the same way as old system, old system will be detected as replica and no longer works, be careful to do this kind of migration.
2. If only need to restore backup from current system to another server, but will activate new server with new license code and current system still need function, please do not enable 'Restore an Existing Backup' option during backup stage.
3. Why it's failed to activate system
1)Check ping to license server active.yeastar.com is available.
2)Check internet is able to reach license server active.yeastar.com TCP 443 port.
