1. Introduction
This document explains how to connect Cisco Unified Call Manager to MyPBX. This guide has been tested with MyPBX U100 and CUCM V8.6.2.
Target:
1.Intercommunication between CUCM and MyPBX.
2.Make calls through GSM/PSTN/BRI/SIP trunks of MyPBX using CUCM’s extension.
3.Receive calls from GSM/PSTN/BRI/SIP trunks of MyPBX in CUCM.
Description:
IP address of MyPBX: 192.168.10.122
IP address of CUCM: 192.168.10.200
Precondition:
Please make sure Cisco CallManager Service is activated on CUCM.
Steps to activate Cisco Call Manager:
1. Log in to the CM Administration Web interface.
2. In the field “Navigation” on the top right corner, select Cisco Unified Serviceability and click Go.
3. Under Tools click Service Activation.
4. Check if the Service “Cisco CallManager” is activated.
2. Intercommunication between CUCM and MyPBX
Description:
Extensions range on MyPBX is from 300 to 360.
Extensions (Directory Number) range on CUCM is from 9000 to 9500.
2.1 MyPBX Configuration
Step 1: Create one Service Provider SIP trunk on MyPBX, connect it to CUCM.
Path: PBX--Trunks--VoIP trunk--Service Provider
Figure 2-1 Create a Service SIP trunk on MyPBX
Save and apply the changes, we can check the status of this trunk, it should be OK (green).
Path: Status--Line Status--Trunk Status

Step 2: Set up an Outbound Route in MyPBX.
Path: PBX--Outbound Call Control--Outbound Routes--Add Outbound Route

2.2 CUCM Configuration
Step 1: Configure the SIP Trunk Security Profile
1)Go to System--Security--SIP Trunk Security Profile
2)Click Add New.
3)Configure the fields as follows:
Please change the “Outgoing Transport Type” to UDP, otherwise the outgoing calls would fail.
Figure 2-4 Configure the SIP Trunk Security Profile
4)Click Save.
Configuration on Version 9.X
In version 9.x, the Non Secure SIP Trunk Profile already exists, but it must be modified.
1)On Unified CM, go to System--Security--SIP Trunk Security Profile.
2)Select Non Secure SIP Trunk Profile.
3)Modify the fields as follows:
Figure 2-5 Configure the SIP Trunk Security Profile in Version 9.X
4)Click Save.
Step 2: Configure the SIP Profile
1)On Unified CM, go to Device--Device Settings--SIP Profile.
2)Click Copy against the Standard SIP Profile.
3)Check “Allow Presentation Sharing using BFCP” if BFCP (Dual video / presentation sharing) is required. Check “Use Fully Qualified Domain in SIP Requests” if needed,
leave everything else as it is:

4)Click Save.
Step 3: Configure the SIP Trunk device
1)On Unified CM, go to Device--Trunk.
2)Click Add New.
3)Select a Trunk Type of SIP Trunk.

4)Click Next.
5)Configure the Device Information fields as follows:
Mark the field modified compared with default settings.

6)Click Save.
7)Click Reset.
Step 4: Configure Route Pattern for the SIP Trunk.
1)On Unified CM, go to Call Routing--Route/Hunt--Route Pattern.
2)Click Add New.
3)Configure Route Pattern as follows:
Set Route Pattern to 3XX, which means all 3-digit calls starting with 3 will be sent to MyPBX via this SIP Trunk.
Besides, you can set up multiple Route Patterns for a SIP trunk.

4)Click Save.
Step 5: Check the status of this trunk.
On Unified CM, go to Device--Trunk, click Find.

2.3 Make test calls
Now, configurations for MyPBX and CUCM are ready, you can make internal calls between MyPBX extensions and CUCM extensions.
3. Make calls through GSM/PSTN/BRI/SIP trunks of MyPBX using CUCM’s extensions
The integration between MyPBX and CUCM is OK. In this part, we introduce how to make calls through trunks of MyPBX using CUCM’s extensions, here we use a GSM trunk on MyPBX to make outbound calls.
3.1 MyPBX Configuration
Step 1: Check the status of GSM trunk.
Path: Status--Line Status--Trunk Status
Figure 3-1 Trunks Status
Step 2: Set up an outbound route for GSM trunk to make outbound calls.
Path: PBX--Outbound Call Control--Outbound Routes--Add Outbound Route
Create an outbound route for the GSM trunk in MyPBX. In this guide, we set the dial pattern as “4.” and Strip “1” digit, which means all calls starting with “4” will be sent out via the GSM trunk of MyPBX and the first digit “4” would be stripped. For example, if you want to call external number 15880270369, you should dial number 415880270369.
Figure 3-2 Outbound Route for GSM7 in MyPBX
Step 3: Set up an inbound route for CUCM Service SIP trunk in MyPBX, and choose the outbound route we created in Step 2 as the destination, so that the calls from CUCM will be routed through GSM/PSTN trunk.
Note: In case all calls would be routed to the outbound route, which would affect the intercommunication between CUCM and MyPBX, we should configure DID number to route some number to the outbound route. Here we set up DID Number “4.”, which means numbers beginning with “4” would be routed to the outbound route.
Figure 3-3 Set up an Inbound Route for the SIP Trunk
3.2 CUCM Configuration
Set up another Route Pattern for this in CUCM.
1)On Unified CM, go to Call RoutingRoute/HuntRoute Pattern.
2)Click Add New.
3)Configure Route Pattern as follows:
Route pattern on CUCM accepts numbers, X, letters A, B, C, D, + and the followings: *[]^?.@!-. If there is a popup shows “The Authorization Code will not be activated.”, it means the route pattern is not recognized. Here we set the route pattern as 4XXXXXXXXXXX. Besides, you can set up multiple Route Patterns for a SIP trunk.
Figure 3-4 Set up another Route Pattern for GSM in CUCM.
3.3 Test a Call
Use CUCM’s extension to dial 414700000000, then mobile phone 14700000000 will ringing and you can answer the call.
4. Receive calls from GSM/PSTN/BRI/SIP trunks of MyPBX on CUCM
4.1 MyPBX Configuration
Step 1: Make sure there is an outbound route to CUCM in MyPBX.
Dial pattern: “9.”, which means all calls starting with 9 will be sent to CUCM via this SIP Trunk, please do not forget the dot.
Path: PBX--Outbound Call Control--Outbound Routes
Figure 4-1 Outbound Route for CUCM on MyPBX
Step 2: Create an inbound route for GSM trunk, and choose the outbound route for CUCM, so that the incoming calls from GSM trunk will be sent to CUCM via the SIP Trunk.
Note: Since there is no DID number for GSM/PSTN trunks, we need to setup a DID number for them. It is not for the cause of matching, but giving it a DID.
In this example, we set DID number to 9456, which is the extension number in CUCM.

4.2 CUCM Configuration
On CUCM, there is no need to configure anything.
4.3 Test a Call
Use mobile phone dial the GSM trunk’s number 15880270601, the call from GSM would reach the extension 9456 on CUCM.
