Recent Solution for Provisioning Failure of Grandstream GRP Models

Symptom

Meet any problems, you can apply this solution.

  • Reprovision or Reboot action failed
  • See error prompt "XXX is not assigned" when you pressed function key or try to make calls

Solution

For P-Series Appliance PBX or Software PBX

For P-Series Cloud PBX

For P-Series Appliance PBX or Software PBX

1. Go to the menu Resource Repository to update the GRP phone template.

Update the template to version 1.0.2

Click Yes to push the update to phone when it prompts.

 

2. Reboot the phone manually.

 

For P-Series Cloud PBX

1. Go to the menu Resource Repository to update the GRP phone template.

Update the template to version 1.0.2

2. Add an custom template

Use Advance type.

3. Change the provisioning protocol from HTTP to HTTPS manually (should upper case). And save the custom template.

4.  Apply the custom template to the phone. Reboot the phone manually.
