How to Provision Alcatel-Lucent Phones on Yeastar P-Series Cloud PBX by Auto Provisioning

Overview

 

Applicability

1. Phone's firmware version requirement:

  • H2, H2P: 2.12.43.010.2272
  • H3P, H3G H6: 2.12.43.010.2272
  • M3, M5, M7: 2.13.37.000.2202
  • M8: 2.13.32.000.1535

Please upgrade the phone firmware, or you will have the provisioning failure.

2. PBX firmware version requirement:

  • 83.9.0.X or higher

 

Procedure

Add the Alcatel-Lucent phone MAC on PBX Auto Provisioning menu. And copy the provisioning link for the next step.

 

Manual method

Login Alcatel-Lucent IP phone, (default username password is admin/admin), go to the Auto Provision menu. The method is different based on models.

 

For model: H3P, H3G H6, M3, M5, M7, M8

1) Fill the provisioning link in the DM URL field. And click Submit button.

2) Click Auto Provision Now button to provision the phone. Or reboot the phone to provision.

 

For model: H2, H2P

1) Fill the provisioning link in the Server Address field.

  • Protocol Type: it should be TFTP
  • Configuration File Name: the phone's mac.cfg like 3c28a600842e.cfg
  • Update Mode: it should be Update After Reboot.

 

2) Click Auto Provision Now button to provision the phone. Or reboot the phone to provision.

 

Auto method

For all models:

1) Copy the provisioning link, add option 66 on the router for the DHCP server setting.

2) Reboot the phone to provision.
