Linkus External SIP Port (wihout LCS) S Series vs P series

Hello,

in the P Series, I am able to specify a Linkus SIP port like 6023 for external usage. I would then use the NAT redirect feature of the router to redirect 6023 to the internal port 5060. That stops fake phone calls, or aggressive registrations.

But in the S series I do not see the option to use  an external port different then 5060 for linkus. Do I oversaw the option or is it really not present? Also, since this is rather a thing the client has to know about then the server, maybe it is possible to specify the sip port to use manually in the Linkus Client if if cannot be done by the automatic provisioning?

  S series PBX uses the port in the NAT setting for Linkus to register remotely.

  Thank you. However changing the settings on this page will also effect registration parameters used by standard SIP phones - correct?

  The P550 however has separate settings. One for the Linkus on for the general SIP port - correct?

  No, I never did get a response. 

  What is even worse, that the situation might arise you have to open port 5060 to the internet to be sure all calls which come in through your SIP registrar will be received. But to get rid of robots trying to break into the system you have to restrict the traffic to port 5060 to the IP range of your registrar. This will completely break the Linkus phone feature.

  When you call support, they make it seem like an easy setup.  Do we know if there is a knowledgebase article on this?  We need to lock 5060 down, but have Linkus work.  Wayne from support stated we need to change the external port of Linkus and make sure it's mapped to 5060 internally.  Currently, the external port is also used elsewhere besides Linkus since they combined the setting.  We don't want to break the SIP trunk.

  We need to lock this down because the log gets so full in the Yeastar with blocked IPs, the system locks up.
