System S100
Can you be a little more explicit regarding the issue?
You indicated "in a group call", implying that a call is already in progress. A group call is not the same as a ring group call, but I assume you mean a ring group call.
What is missing is the details surrounding how the ring group is configured-
a) how many extensions/members (different extensions, not physical phones having the same extension number) are in the ring group?
b) what is the ring strategy?
c) what firmware version is the S100 running?
d) are you indicating that if the one phone is not on DND, that the other phones in the ring group now ring?
I have not observed this and given how prevalent ring groups are used by so many, it seems unlikely that this is a bug as I suspect that many, many more would be complaining. However, as there is a new release, perhaps something has crept in that has not yet been discovered, so any details would be helpful.
Normally, what happens is that when a call is sent to a RG extension, the PBX will look to see what extensions are members of same and then the ring strategy and finally, using the aforementioned variable, will seek which member should be contacted with an INVITE. The sending of an INVITE will cause the phone to ring if the phone has not responded with a response upon the receipt of an INVITE that will cause the phone not to ring. If the phone is set to DND, then this is a reason that that particular phone will not ring and if you have the SIP forking option enabled, then all phones with that same extension number will not ring as well. This may also be impacted by the DND synchronization function also.
