two lines with same number

Sorry, first time here and know almost nothing about voip.

Hope someone could help me.

We area little company in Italy: we have a modem which output 2 analogues lines. 

Actually I know that they are voip lines which somehow are converted into analog.

The two lines have the same phone number.

Both lines are connected to a Yeastar S20.

When someone calls, all the voip phones ring, but when someone answer to che call, all the phones do not stop ringing.. like the Yeastar does not understand that someone has answered.

Any suggestion on how to solve this issue?

  The question is not so much about the PBX, but rather what is the modem sending to the PBX. You indicated that the modem has two physical lines and that both are the same number. While the provider may use some form of VoIP to get to the modem, the modem is converting the signal to analog. There is no intelligence in an analog signal for the PBX to understand anything other than if a call comes in on a given line with a ring voltage, the PBX will answer the line(s) and forward the call to the destination as set in the inbound rules.  

  While the phones answer the call on one line, should the second line also have a call that is ringing the PBX, it will answer and there is nothing you can do with the PBX to solve this problem other than to disconnect one of the lines. 

  The bottom line is that you need to see what is being sent on both lines when a call arrives as it is not clear to me why a single call would come over both lines as the same time. Also, if you have call waiting on a line, then that will not work as the PBX does not understand call waiting. It is a PBX which expects multiple lines each with its own unique number or call, not one analog line that can handle more than one via call waiting.

  It seems likes the answer detection of analog line has problem. You might check if your FXO line is using the default setting. Select the Answer Detection Method as None.
