Hi all, is it possible to hide the pin codes with the owner's name while generating/downloading the calls report in CDR and Call Recordings; I have had this request couple of times and tried some apps like Billing System hoping that it will hide them but unfortunately I haven't been lucky since. Any help or guide will be highly appreciated. The current situation is with S100 firmware: 30.11.0.7

Larry Neblett There is no provision from within the GUI to alter the presence or appearance of the CDR records with regard to the PIN code. You would need to contact Yeastar support about this.
If you are downloading the file, you can hide or delete any column which will prevent it from being seen. The purpose of the CDR is to provide ALL relevant information about the calls so that information can be gleaned and used as needed. I have attached a sample below and as you can see, both the user name and PIN code have their own column. Merely delete the column you do not wish to have seen.
If you are exporting/importing the data into a 3rd party app, you will need to review their documentation or contact them about how to manage. In many cases it is simply an exercise in not mapping a field from the PBX CRD to a relevant field in the 3rd party program.

Thabo Kalabe Thank you Larry for getting back to me, but the caller name/username; isn't it attached to the device used to call? Does it have something to do with the owner of the Pin Code or Just the Device used?

Larry Neblett The name is associated to the extension. This is used when calling to another extension, the callee can see who is calling. The PIN code is simply a code that allows access to a given route and can be used to prevent/allow users to access a route regardless of the extension used. So, if John owns extension 100, he can still make a call out route A (assumes PIN protected) from any phone using a PIN code,. If you were to assign a different PIN to each person, then you can filter the CDR by PIN code to see how many calls each person made regardless if making the call from their own or from a different extension.

Thabo Kalabe Thank you again Larry, so meaning the only way to render the records would be to use each pin code hence making multiple spreadsheets? And there is no way that we could use the owner of the pin code as the username regardless of which extension he/she called from and be able to load the correct information logged on the trunk which hides Pin Codes for security purposes?

Larry Neblett To render the records, you can download all records without any filter then sort on whatever field you wish. It is simply a question of what you are willing and/or wanting to do. If you want to download by PIN, fine, If you want to download by extension number, fine. It's all in the filters.
The PINs are assigned in a PIN LIST and the route only supports one PIN list. So, a given route might have a PIN LIST with a number of different PINS (for use by various users). The system has no idea of who was assigned which PIN and as a result, there is no tie between a user and PIN. It only knows that if it sees that number when a given PIN protected route is used and there is a match, it will allow the call to pass. Only you know what PIN is assigned to a user.
The system CDR tells you what physically occurred and it is up to you take the records and manipulate them as you need.
