We have recently installed an S100, the problem is that when I am on a call, whether it is on my desk phone, mobile app or desktop app, the phone still rings on other incoming calls as if I am available, the system does not seem to know that I am on a call already and send out a busy signal.
I have looked at all the settings but I cannot see anything that will make a difference.
Has anybody else had this problem? And do you know how to fix it.

It is in the auto provisioning settings of the PBX for the phone and in the phone itself if not auto-provisioned. As you did not mention the phone type, it is a call waiting function in conjunction with how many line keys are configured. This allows you to handle multiple calls (or not) at the same time.

In my opinion what Yeastar describes in the link was an extremely bad move. The issue is multi-fold. If the PBX is aware of the extension being set to no call waiting, then if another call comes in for that extension, the system will not send the call at all, but rather it will follow the rules for the extension being busy.
By removing the function from the system:
1. It means that all calls will be sent to the phone, and the phone will have to respond with a 486 Busy to let the system know it's busy. This causes unneeded traffic on the network and some phones may chirp or start to ring on the INVITE before realizing that it is busy and responding.
2. It means that should there be more than one device registered to an extension, the system will send the calls to all and those that are not busy, will still ring to include any Linkus devices. Just what I need to be on my deskphone and then have Linkus on my cell in my pocket start to ring.
Not a smart move to remove this from the PBX.
Hi Larry, thanks for the quick response. BTW, we are using Fanvil X4 phones. I have switched off call waiting on all three devices. It just bugs me that when I am on a call on the Fanvil phone the phone still rings when another call comes in.
