Right now one has to put the mouse cursor into the search text box and then one can search for a phone book entry. It would be much more efficient if one can start entering the name or number of the desired callee by keyboard as soon as the linkus application gets the focus of the underlying operating system without having to put the cursor into the search text box first.

I am not sure which kind of Linkus client you are using, but here is the thing:
(I understood you might want to make the search more efficient, we will get a chance to improve it, but here I would like offer you a method you can use right away, see my recommendation please.)
For Linkus Mobile(iOS and Android):
- When you enter in the search box under contact -> extension, the search scope is Extension.Here Linkus will search out items based on character or number you entered.
- When you enter in the search box under contact -> Contact, the search scope is Contact which is exactly your mobile contact list. .Here Linkus will search out the items based on character or number you entered.

(Recommended.)When you press the keyboard, the search scope is Extension / Contact / Call logs.Here Linkus will search out the items based on character or number you entered.
For Linkus Desktop(Mac and Windows):
- When you enter in the search box, the search scope is Extension / Call logs. Here Linkus will search out the matched extensions or call history based on character or number you entered.
- When you press the keyboard, the search scope is Extension / Call logs. Here Linkus will search out the matched extensions or call history which contains the number you pressed.
- When you enter in the search box under contact -> extension, the search scope is Extension.Here Linkus will search out items based on character or number you entered.
