We have a new client that we will be trying to setup, they have a headquarters in France and a satellite office here in the US, they are looking for the ability to call between offices with extensions. I know this is easy to setup when all the equipment is yeastar s-series PBX's but is it possible if the satellite office has a s-series PBX and the headquarters does not?

Larry Neblett I guess that depends on what the US office has.
Not trying to be glib, but the question is too open ended to understand what might be entailed to peer the two PBX systems without knowing what is at each end. If an Asterisk based system and using SIP, then yes. If a VoIP system running H.323, then yes, provided the H.232 system can be accommodated with a SIP card and the licensing and configuration needed. If SCCP based, same as H.323 as the Cisco system may need some hardware and a license to accommodate. The list goes on.
Not knowing more, but given what might be the anticipated cost savings for the calls between the two, you might be able to suggest the change out of the US system to a S-PBX to maintain a level of compatibility and functionality between the two.
The only thing I can really offer is that you need to know PRECISELY what the expectation is. My experience is that it usually starts off with "just" wanting to be able to call each others' extensions which then morphs into:
1. Each side wants to be able to use the other side's trunks to be able to make and take calls from/to the other country in order to avoid international calling.
2. A phone directory that will have both side's extension listings so that transfer's between sides are possible.
3. Possibly an IVR so that callers from either side can hit the IVR and then select to which country they want to be connected.
The list goes on and will grow as they realize the benefits of UC and you will need to know if the S-PBX can handle and even more so, will have to get involved with the other PBX to make it all work, which assumes the other PBX can also handle.
Good luck.

Riddhe M The multisite is only available for S-Series PBX. So it's not possible when only one S-Series in the interconnection plan. You can use SIP trunk or IAX instead to connect your SIP device in headquarter. Also you need to create the routing rules for the interconnection.
