Would be great if S-Series could send a report to the application server when a GSM trunk receives a SMS. The report should include at least the specific trunk name, date, time, sender number and message content. This way applications can listen for these reports and build a SMS inbox in custom database.
Actually we use the SMS-to-Email feature to read incoming SMS from our GSM trunk, but this is quite cumbersome as we need to periodically check an email inbox for new messages.
