Symbols on SIP trunk username

Hello,

The biggest voip provider in our country uses Username and authentication on the trunk with the symbols. Like XXX_X@XXXX . And in Yeastar devices we can't create SIP TRUNK with those symbols. 

This structure of username is made by biggest VoIP provider in our country. There's no way it can be changed.

Moreover Asterisk, Avaya, Alcatel and any other PBX'es have no issues with symbol "@" in username. Please let me know if you can solve this issue or should I notify all our customers and providers, that Yeastar's PBX'es are not suitable for our country.

  Hi Viktoras,

  May I know the version of your PBX?

  Sip trunk's authentication name support @ and username don't support @ , and the authentication name used for sip authentication so that you can register successfully.

  Hello Amber,

  Yeastar S50 with the latest firmware.

  Sip Trunk's authentication name and user name must be the same for registration. And thats why we can't register trunk, because we have user name with symbol @

  Which country are you in and which provider you have the issue with? I think Yeastar would be interested to test the SIP trunk whose usename include a @ symbol.

  We have the same problem, if the user name contains @, it does not try to register with the operator at all. Yeastar P550.

  According to RFC 3261, @ sign in the user part of a URI should be encoded with % hex codes.

  Example: username%40provider.com@provider.com
