Not much info here.
Is this when using Wi-Fi or using cellular data?
Is then when contacting the PBX, such as voice mail or when taking a call and again using which connection method? If a call, then is it inbound, outbound or both and what kind of trunks are in use at the PBX and how is the call to Linkus managed - direct extension call, forward (find me, follow me), etc.?
Volume is a function of the analog transition to and from digital. The digital signal has no such settings to adjust amplitude; hence why the questions. The same is true of the PBX. You may find settings within a hard IP phone to adjust the TX and RX gain and possibly so in any analog module or gateway, but these settings adjust what is sent into the analog side before the conversion to digital.
I have an S7, and have not really had an issue and I use both Wi-Fi and cellular. I am using SIP trunks only and the calls are direct as an extension and not handled via a forward or other call handling route. I do not use it all that much, so perhaps a heavy user may be more attuned to the issue than I am.
Great points Larry - Its inbound on CO lines dialing threw the IVR. I have instructed the end user to test extension to extension and checking voicemail to see if its a CO line issue thanks again
