 Few things I have noticed any insight would be great

Call routes to the linkus APP using (Linkus cloud), If you turn your airplane mode on during the call to simulate the call dropping the other end the person calling  doesn't get discounted and they just hear dead air.

((If you turn data back on in a reasonable time the call continues but during the data lose the customer hears dead air)

Is there a way if the APP drops service that the user gets put to a voicemail box of it could call forward to the cell number of your cell phone in case you are in an area with poor data connection.

  Once the call has been connected, the call is established and there is no way for either side to know or to be directed to an alternative destination such as a voice mail in the event of an interruption in the link. Such is also the case with a cell phone or even a land-line call that is suddenly disconnected. In the case of the SIP call, the devices will continue to stay "on-line" for a period of time hoping for a reconnect until a RTP or other timeout occurs which will then cause the device to give-up and completely disconnect. 

   

  In SIP, the call set-up and breakdown is a  function of the SIP messaging between the devices, but once the call is setup and established, the voice stream is RTP. When the call is interrupted, it is the RTP stream that is impactedand the RTP timeout (no voice packets) that take control and causes the final disconnect to occur. When the timeout occurs, the devices will usually send a "BYE" to the other side just in the event that the other side happened to come back online or to tell the provider in between to breakdown the call.

  Larry thanks for the insight just an FYI other phone systems have this functionality the Allworx Reach Link does just that. Before the call drops it will put the call on hold and give the customer an announcement that its trying to reconnect the call.   After a defined time we can kick the call to voicemail ext or dial the persons cell number. Maybe Linkus will get this feature in the near future

  Interesting. My impression is that the function you describe is only when the softphone changes from cellular data to Wi-Fi, but apparently I am incorrect. I would love to see a trace of a call to see how they handle it.
