Have a S50 that we changed the names on couple extensions and everything on the phones changed as they should and CDR reports show calls to and from the ext as the new names.
Problem is on all the phones on internal calls to and from those exts the caller and callee info is coming up as the exts old names.
Has anyone run across this? I've rebooted everything several times. Ran firmware upgrades across the board.
Sorry, not very sure what the problem, can you described your issue with an example and show more detail? Like screenshots, pictures and so on.
What make/model of phone?
It may not solely be a PBX issue. Do the phones have a phonebook loaded and could it be that upon a receiving a call the phone is checking the phone book/contact list and if the number is found, it presents the phone book entry? The phone may also be using its history to present a Cnam.
Have you done a network capture of such a call to see what the PBX is sending? This is the most surefire way of determining which end is at fault.

The extension owners changed. The names were changed in the PBX and the extensions reflect the new names on the accounts within the phones, but internal calls between extensions results in the old extension owner names coming across on the CID/Cnam display.
Phones Are Yealink T48s with no phone book loaded in the yeastar. Support got back to me to delete ext and renter it. I’ll poste results
We deleted the exts and re entered them. Made test calls with same results. Still showing the old names on phone display. I think Larry may be correct. We will be factory defaulting phones tomorrow to test that theory.
Just seems odd that a default would be required to do something as simple as a name change.
I test with my Yealink T27 and S100 version 30.10.0.17 and couldn't replicate your issue.
I notice the what the phone sent to the phone will be overide by the PBX.
Below is what I set on the IP phone, I setup the display name as Oscar
Below is what I set on the S100, I setup the caller ID name as Oscar Test.
When I call phone 1005 to another extension, on the phone it display Oscar Test as the Caller ID name.
So seems like the Caller ID name is control by the PBX.

I defaulted the T48s and they are now reporting the caller ID Name properly with the new ext names. I guess the T48s must cache that data somewhere.
After the changes the switch was always reporting the new ext names, but the phones where not.
Customer is good to go now.

I've been struggling with exact same senario with an S300 and some yeastar T46U phones.
I'm going to do a little more digging. I don't want to do a factory reset, because of the extension Ext key list.
I am experiencing this issue. Any update? Any solution besides Yealink phones factory reset?
I backed up the phone, did a factory reset and then restored the backup and that fixed it for me.
