I have a customer I just installed with a S20 and 8 various Yealink Phones. All work fine but I have a question about ringing while on another call. When calls ring in and all phones ring and you can answer with no problems. While you are on that call and the next call comes in the phone you are on will not ring. You can see the call coming ringing in the display if you are looking at it and answer it. You just cant hear it ring off hook. So if your talking and you cant hear another phone ring you can miss the call. Seem like a simple fix how do I make the phone ring while off hook. Thanks

Larry Neblett That is not a PBX function but a phone function as to how it is set to display/ring/react to the call. The phone system only sends a SIP INVITE to a phone.
In most cases, the phone will have a setup for "call waiting". This is used when an extension is expected to handle more than one call at a time. The initial call will come in and cause an audible ring tone. While the extension is on a call and should another call be sent to the same extension, it is usually presented in the display as well as an audible beep or sound being played on the handset so that the extension owner is made aware of the second call and can elect how to handle. There may be other settings within the phone that will allow more options to come into play.
Unless there is a second account that is set with the same extension on the same phone, I do not really recall of any phone make or model that will ring on the second (or other) call while already engaged. I think this would prove distracting to the extension owner and I also assume that it possible that the caller on the other end may also hear same.
In NA, residential call waiting indications also do not ring, but provide caller-id and handset notifications via an audible beep or similar sound, that the other side does not hear.
