I think you can try setup different dial pattern for outbound routes, for example, 9. for outbound route 1 and 8. for outboud route 2.
So when a user dial 9 + target number, the call will go through outbound route 1;
When he dials 8 + target number, the call will go through outbound route 2;

yes, my solution is only possible with an extra digit.
With account trunk, other device can register to the "trunk account".
The account is not exactly as your assumption. The account trunk is useful when we interconnect with branch office, expecially when the main office has static IP address and the branch office has dynamic IP address, we can create a "register" trunk on the branch office and register to the main office's "account" trunk. It is a little bit complex to explain. Hope this would help.
Outbound routes don't set clip sadly which is a big problem for me.
You would need separate trunks with different caller ids set.
If only outbound routes were more like freepbx
