Since we couldnt find any feature code to BLOCK caller ID via extension,
Customer has requested PSTN carrier to BLOCK all outbound calls.
But on some occasions they want to dial out and show caller ID,
The landline PSTN provider has given a feature code *82 which would enable caller ID to show.
How do we setup the dial plan on the outbound route, so that *82 is added as prefix, for a specific route, so that caller can see the Outbound caller ID.
Try setup the prepend setting for the outbound route, see below screenshot:
I tried this, but we get a fast busy. I can double check and try again, but could there be a concern because of the special character "*" ?
Also, we were forced to block the caller ID permanently for all calls, because there is NO feature code on the PBX to BLOCK Outgoing Caller ID , I was surprised to discover this! Unless I missed something.
I checked the MyPBX SOHO and the S20 and there is NO mention of a feature code to BLOCK Outoing Caller ID,,, which is normally *67
Shailesh, if you connect the PSTN line directly to an analog phone, and dial *82 as the prefix, will your call get through and the call ID work as expected?
I would need to go on-site for this.... The provider confirms that it would work. But I understand your point in first testing the feature on the line directly at the Demarc.
I was trying to program the PBX remotely and then have them dial out to test.
Could you confirm if a STAR82 prepend would be fine?
If the "*" special character is OK on the prepend string, then at least I can be sure of our end! :-)
Yes, I confirm the STAR82 can be prepend correctly and sent out to through the PSTN line, see below asterisk CLI logs:

Prepend *82 worked just fine!
We also created a new route with Strip9 and Prepend *82 so that they can choose to use the default Block Caller ID route or Show Caller ID by dialling 9.
The question that still remains : There is really NO way to Block Caller ID by Dialling *67 which is controlled by individual extensions ?
I understand *67 is a feature that works directly on the PSTN trunk, but this is a problem for Yeastar PBX users since they cannot access the Individual Trunk and use *67 as a normal Key System would allow them to!

I have a solution for this:
We can setup to use one digit to fetch the PSTN line first, after fetch the PSTN line correctly, you will hear dial tone, then you can dial the feature code provided by the PSTN trunk provider, *67 for example, to realize the feature you want.
I think this is what you mean regarding the "access the individual trunk", please correct me if I misunderstand you.

Not sure how the above dialplan would work...
So lets say I want to dial 604-123-4567 , and I want to block caller ID.
Based on this dialplan, I should dial 7 and wait for another dial tone ( for IP Phones I press 7 on the dialpad and then Press "DIAL" or "SEND" to dial out the 7 )?
And then dial the actual 10 digit number?
Yes, you are correct. You should dial 7 and press "send" or "dial" to dial out the digit 7, then Yeastar S PBX will fetch the PSTN line configure in the outbound route. And you wait for the dial tone, then dial out same as what you do when you connect the PSTN line to the analog phone directly. I think you might need to dial *67 604-123-4567 to use the block caller ID feature provided by the PSTN provider.
