When using the mobility extension - I would like to see the forwarded call caller ID displayed on my cell phone rather than my office number. Caller ID is supported on my trunk. Support stated this feature isn't supported yet in the S-Series. I would like to raise my hand to see this added.
By the way, do you use SIP trunk or other kind of trunks?
I do use SIP. Currently I am using Sipstation, however I am moving to 1-Voip as I found their prices to be more inline with my work flow.
That said I did figure out how to make it work via SIP. Your mileage may vary.
now head to trunks
- PBX > General > SIP
- Now to Advanced
- send remote party ID checked
- Send Diverstion ID checked
- get caller id from remote-party-id
- get did from invite
I will say I have played with this a bunch so I may be missing a step. This is what I remember doing to get it all working.Good Luck.
- edit your trunk
- make sure global DOD is blank

The original caller ID cannot replace the caller ID of the outgoing trunk. On the outgoing call to the mobile extension, the caller ID will always be your office number, because this is where the call comes from. Remember that the mobility extension with "ring simultaneously" is not considered to be a call transfer.
Adding the remote party ID and diversion ID will indeed add the original caller ID to the call but these are different parameters in the outgoing call which are added to the existing caller ID (From).
In order for the original caller ID to show up on the mobile phone, the cell phone company has to configure their system to push the "Remote party ID" or the "Diversion ID" as the caller ID instead of the "From". On the S-Series, this is exactly what the "Get Caller ID From" in PBX > General > SIP > Advanced does for inbound calls. This parameter can also be specified individually on each trunk in Trunks > your trunk > Advanced > Get Caller ID From. By default, "From" is used by most systems and cell providers.
