This looks nice : )
But it would be enough for me if S Series can support for MP3 format of MOH.
From the Asterisk 13 Admin Guide:
MP3 Music On Hold
Use of the mpg123 for your music on hold is no longer recommended and is now officially deprecated. You should now use one of the native formats for
your music on hold selections.
Mpg123 would be needed for MOH streaming. It would still work find with Asterisk 13
mp3 patent officially expired this year making it a safely free to use audio codec.
S50 MOH streaming music from HTTP option? Asterick has the ability to stream from website. Why not add to your GUI? I do not want to SSH in and modify OS without a very good reason.
New Business phones should have Additional music on hold (MOH) options. My company would like to have MP# On hold files (Custom with information regarding our company) We would like to have: press 1 for rock, press 2 for country, press 3 for classical and so on for customers who are on hold for more then 15 seconds. Wouldn't you like to have Music that you want to listen too on hold? Makes those painfully slow moving seconds a little better?
Internet radio station feature would also be nice. I know Asterisk can use music on hold with high quality sound, why limit Yeastar?
It is my understanding Yealink has forked Asterisk, then did some heavy modifications to it so it would work with their interface platform.
They cannot even get it to do a group shared voicemail monitoring, unless it is manually setup with some script coding.
MP3 or External MOH - absolute necessity for a business.
