Could someone please help me, I'm new in this field and our Avaya IP 500 PBX just suddenly broke down. I'm looking into swapping the IP500 with a S-Series PBX or P-Series PBX.
How can an Avaya 9600 Series phone work with Yeastar PBX. Please some provide me a step by step configuration for this matter.
I'm also new in this field and bought a number of Avaya J179 phones to hook up to the S20 PBX. My first challenge was to provision the phones as the YeaStar does not support Autoprovisioning of the Avaya phones.
However, persistence paid off as all my Avaya phones are now working with the S20 PBX. The criteria for the Avayas was that they had to be a particular model number which meant it was Open SIP (rather than an Avaya tied platform) and used generic 3PCC.
It also took time as there was very little info readily available for Avaya/YeaStar PBX (that I could find). I can't say the 9600 series will definitely work, but if its an Open SIP phone, I would expect it to (not as much help as you need I suspect).
This might help point you in the right direction - its was something that got me running in the right direction. I've not had a lot of response reaching out to the community so good luck.
