monitor state on line activity S50 Snom 370

Hi there,

 

with the old system our snom phones show the number of incoming calls in the display on all phones in logged on to the pbx. On the snom phone there is a small line there you can see the incoming call. Don´t understand me wrong, you can see the incoming calls an all phones as a call info. These Phones are not connected in ringgroup.

I don´t find this funktion on the S50.

On the snom telephones i activate the function:

monitor state on line activity

but the phones don´t show anything on incoming calls.

Is this a problem on the phone does the s50 don´t send this info? On old asterisk 1.2 we must install a snom pickup patch and this function works.

  If it was supported in Asterisk 1.2, then it is likely supported now as well.

  The problem is that you fail to mention the firmware version that is installed on the 370 phone. 

  In looking at the WIKI, the reference they make to your setting of "monitor state on line activity" appears to reference BLF keys so as to be able to monitor extensions and their call state - ringing, busy (in a call) and idle (able to take a call). The description that SNOM uses for the setting is:

  DESCRIPTIONWhen any of your monitored lines shows an activity (other than idle), the phone will automatically display the call-monitor state. This behaviour is simular to the setting Call Pickup and replaced it since version 8.7.2 on all phones models.

  Hence the question regarding firmware. 

  As SNOM is not a supported phone for provisioning purposes, you will need to manually configure the phone(s) so as to specify the extensions that are desired to be monitored. You should be able to find "Extension monitoring and call pickup" in the user manual or SNOM Wiki for your specific model of phone. You may also need to update the firmware relative to the manual being referenced so that the info in the manual is pertinent to that of what is running in the phone.

  yes i understand this.

  that don´t work.

  Then i tried this:

  That also dosn´t work.

  When i controle my SIP LOG of the phone it looks like the S50 dosn´t support any of this RFC modes. No 4235 and no 4662. Do you have any information?

  Given what I have observed for other phones, I am of the opinion that while not stated, that GS does support BLF in accordance with RFC 4235. I have extension monitoring enabled on GS phones, Yealink (older models that like SNOM are not supported in the provisioning), Fanvil and a couple of others. As these work, I have no reason to suspect that the SNOMs will not if the settings are correct. You still have yet to indicate which firmware is in the phones.
