Well I guess it depends on the type of connection you intend to use, analog or SIP.
The SNOM PA1 is a SIP endpoint that is a paging adapter. I have used a number of times and it works well and is very reliable.
If analog, Viking, Valcom, Bogen and Cyberdata all make various paging devices.
Here is a guide that Yeastar did using a S PBX, but should be applicable to any if using SIP.
Hi Larry, thank you for your reply.
I saw your suggestions and I think that the SNOM is the more suitable, only a question, I’ve to install it in an mechanical workshop with a noise enough high, the specify of the SNOM tell me that is only 4W for only one speaker, do you think that is enough for this kind of environment?
Thank you in advance.
Mauro
A question that I cannot really answer as how large an area, how high a noise level, where will the speakers be placed, what is the efficiency rating of the speaker, what type of speaker, etc.? If it were me, I would get one and experiment so that you can see what it can do using the 4 watt output. I have attached the manual. Find the highest efficiency rated 8 ohm speaker you can such as the Bogen SP58A. This will provide just under 85db of sound 32 feet away on axis.

Looking on page 17, you can adjust the sound level as well as the amplifier gain. By setting the gain to 0, you can connect to an amplifier with more capability or even to an amplified speaker.
Take a look at the following for more ideas:
I believe Viking may also have a brochure about how to design a paging system.
