More info is needed as we do not know what all has been attempted and how you are trying to accomplish the function.
Are the phones and PBX on the same LAN? Are you running the PBX in router or switch, etc. mode? Do you have the NAT settings established correctly? Did the PBX discover the phones and you subsequently selected the correct template for same? Are you running the latest firmware and/or are you running the auto-provisioning module that is appropriate for the firmware that you are running? Are the IPs of the phones blacklisted? Were the phones in use on a different system before and have they been factory reset?
Agree with Larry, more info should be provided before someone can help.
Hi guys i found the problem is that i have to put the URL of my Yeastar in the Grandstream phone to let the phone know where is the PBX with the config file.
Actually, you should not have to inform the phone. The phone, when connected and power-up, should advertise its presence using LLDP. The auto-provisioning app also has a scan function by which the PBX will scan the network upon which it resides in attempt to find available.
However, the functionality may be impaired if the phones were previously programmed and not factory reset or connected to a VLAN and/or other network obstacles stand in the way that precludes the PBX from being able to "see" the broadcast. Some phones have the ability of being able to enable or disable LLDP.
To test, you may want to hook up a phone in between the PBX and 1st switch (using a power transformer) and see if shows up in the PBX or if you can scan for it. If it appears, then before adopting the phone, move it past the switch and reboot both the PBX and the phone (PBX first). If the PBX does not see the phone and you cannot scan it, then you might want to check the switch.
However, what you did by putting in the IP or FQDN does the job as well, but it does mean you have to "touch" the phone whereas with functional LLDP, the PBX can do all the magic.
Glad you got it going.
Well i have 10 new phone i just get brand new GXP 1625 and GXP 1628
i connect the new phone to the switch that i have to connect with my Yeastar S100 and i go to the app center and open Auto Provisioning i scan and found the phone i configure an extension to each phone and save a prompt appears asking for press, Yes to restart phone i press Yes but the phone dont reboot.
i have to manually go to each phone web gui and press reboot.
The Restart Phone function of Yeastar doesn't work for every vendor's IP phone. I guess it doesn't support to reboot Grandstream's IP phone. Yeastar need to notify customers somewhere in the web GUI regarding this.
Did it work after reboot the IP phone manually?
