I want API authentication, but error "User login failure (invalid username or password"

Thank you so much for your post, Chaviaras. We had the same issue. As soon as we added the "v" for the version everything worked.
I tried to access from external network. I already done port forwarding and access to the system via web is successful. Somehow I cannot access API (login failed) from external network.
I have not yet try from local network.
I have reset username and md5 password before login.
I've received this error code after login failed.

Is the API cannot be access outside local network ? I seem to see all the example shown only access from local network.
If it is possible to access from external network, how to configure this ?
