It has been 4 years. The S100 still doesn't have Opus as a codec option available on the latest firmware. What is it going to take for Yealink phones with the feature to be able to actually use it with Yeastar??
Hi Paul,
The Opus codec transition will consume a lot of resources which will bring the concurrency down to very low that's why we support Opus on K2 and CloudPBX.
Even if it brought it down from 60 calls (in the S100) down to 5 I would be fine with that since I will never have more than 5 people on the phone at the same time using the S100, but we need better quality than say G722. The PBX administrator should have the choice...
Hi Paul, Yes this will only support 4 or 5 concurrent calls when doing the Opus codec transition but we need to consider other clients, I can imagine it is not acceptable for most of them.
In CloudPBX and K2 platforms the CPU is more powerful to handle this.
