This application shows how to use IVR in the web of S-Series VoIP PBX. Sometimes customers want the incoming calls go to the IVR directly. Also, they may need some functions in IVR, too. For example, they may need the feature like: press 1 to reception, press 2 to Support Team, press 3 to Sales Team. The application would show how to make it work.
Configure the Inbound Routes to let the incoming calls go to the IVR directly. The path to configure the Inbound Routes: Settings---Call Control---Inbound Routes, you can click “Add” to add a new inbound route. You may have more than one type of trunk, like FXO, SIP, BRI, E1. You can select what you need in the “Selected”. Then you can select the “Destination” to IVR. Also, you can select the “Destination” to other destination, we choose IVR in this case. IVR 6500 is the default IVR, you can create a new IVR, too, the path is Settings---PBX---Call Features---IVR.
3.Configuration in IVR
The path is PBX---Call Features---IVR. As the parameter in “Basic”, you can read them in the bubbles. And you may need to pay attention to the “Prompt”, when customer make a incoming call to IVR, he or she will hear the prompt first, so the prompt will guide the customer how to do next. For example, we want to customers press 1 to reception, press 2 to Support Team, press 3 to Sales Team. Then you need to record a prompt like “Welcome to Yeastar, press 1 to reception, press 2 to Support Team, press 3 to Sales Team”. You can upload the prompt in the path: Settings---PBX---Voice Prompts---Custom Prompts, you can also record a prompt. If you want to upload a prompt, then the prompt should be the following format, you can use WavePad or other types of softs to transfer the specific format of prompt.
2)You can see, we have upload a prompt called “IVR_Prompt” now, you can try to play it by the “Play” button in the web, see if the prompt would work in S-Series PBX or not, if not, there may be the format are not suit for the PBX.
Now you can choose the IVR_Prompt prompt in IVR
3) Configure the key in “Key Press Event”.
You need the create two ring group or queue for Support Team and Sales Team first, the path is Settings---PBX---Call Features. Then you can see we select key 0 to Extneison 1003(reception), key 1 to Support Team, key 2 to Sales Team.
